Stainless steel agitator manufacturers
The baffle is an accessory of a stainless steel agitator, also known as a baffle or baffle. When the stainless steel stirrer is installed in the middle of the top, the viscosity of the material being stirred is low, the stirring speed is high, and the liquid will rotate in the direction of the blade rotation. The liquid in the middle of the container will be washed onto the tank wall due to centrifugal force, causing the liquid level at the tank wall to rise, while the liquid level in the middle area will drop, forming a vortex, commonly known as the swirl zone. When the speed reaches a certain level, the bottom of the vortex will come into contact with the stirring blade. At this time, external air enters the liquid, and the density of the liquid and gas decreases after mixing, thereby reducing the mixing effect. To avoid this situation, it is necessary to add baffles for improvement.
The structure and quantity of stainless steel agitator baffles have a significant impact on the mixing effect. Too many baffles can form dead zones, resulting in poor mixing performance. Generally, four baffles are evenly installed on the inner wall of the vessel. The width of each baffle is about 1/10~1/12 of the vessel diameter, which can meet the full baffle condition. When mixing low viscosity fluids, baffles should be installed. When the viscosity of the borehole increases, the width of the baffle can correspondingly decrease. When the viscosity reaches 10 Pa · s, there is no need to set a baffle.
As an auxiliary equipment in the use of stainless steel agitators, the baffle has good flexibility and can be used reasonably when needed. It can be removed at any time when not needed without affecting the efficiency of the equipment.
